And we’re pretty much complete. Pod on, awaiting HIDs courtesy of hids4u.co.uk, wheels refurbed, slicks in. All packed up and at port for shipping…

Finished running the diffs in (video), lawd, 20mins going round in circles, makes you feel sick and dizzy. Time for gearbox/diff oil change. Hydraulic handbrake a bit crappy, now a week of road testing before some more spirited testing…

So the new gearbox is in (rebuilt standard RS), with a Kaaz front diff (1.5) which now needs breaking in (an exciting 20mins going round in figures of eight). And with a little over two weeks to go the damn gearbox falls to pieces. Just as we’re about ready to test the car after some minor garage work and we find the diff carrier main bearing is dead. Annoying as fk. It’s damaged (killed) the gearbox casing and taken the Ralliart diff with it - these diffs not being the most common of items :( So, ordered a Kaaz diff through Coordsport and now it’s a little bit of a race against time to get the spare box rebuilt, new diff put in and then all back in the car in time to test.
